Job Description

Candidate will serve as a entry/mid level Cybersecurity Engineer supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity regulations. Candidate will:

  • Provide System Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance support to configure and/or validate secure systems and test products and systems to detect security weakness
  • Perform or evaluate vulnerability scans on systems utilizing approved network scanning tools and appropriate Government provided software and scanning tools
  • Develop information systems security plans and procedures
  • Provide system integration and coordination between THAAD components regarding Security Engineering and Information Assurance functions.

Job Responsibilities

Participate in assessments of security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Security Engineering and Information Assurance.

Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validate system security requirements definition and analysis; establish system security designs; implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verify security requirements; perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and support secure systems operations and maintenance.

Job Qualifications

  • Be familiar with operating systems: Unix/Linux (Solaris, RedHat, etc.), Windows OS (7, 10)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance
  • Have CompTIA Security+CE certification or equivalentxperience with DoD/NIST RMF processes and artifact development
  • Have knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle
  • Have basic network knowledge to include routers, switches and firewalls
  • Have experience with scripting in Visual Basic (VB), Perl, Python, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Have experience in System Hardening and Vulnerability Management Patching
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in an Information technology or IT engineering related discipline.
  • Have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance prior to starting in the position (requires US citizenship)
